About Us

Age Concern Stourbridge & Halesowen has provided an assortment of activities and services for the over 50s in Dudley Borough and the surrounding area since 1975.

Our aim is to offer practical support for the older generation by providing services that help them to get out and about, meet friends, keep active, stay healthy and generally live life to the full.

The Elton Centre is based in Stourbridge right next to the bus and rail stations and parking is available at the rear of the building.  The Centre provides an Advice and Information office and runs various activities for the benefit of the local area and is an ideal opportunity to try new things, meet up with friends and make new friends.  There is a hall, stage and smaller rooms available for hire both during the day and evening and weekends for social events and activities not restricted to the over 50s.

Through our website and telephone number: 01384 390065, older people, their families and friends and health care professionals can access our comprehensive range of advice and information and we also accept drop ins who have questions and queries that they are keen to have answered, appointments can be made when necessary for lengthy issues such as form filling, full benefit issues, debt advice.  We appreciate the difficulty that some of our community will struggle with the ever expanding use of IT and the push to do everything online and as such we are happy to assist our clients when they are faced with this challenge.

Why Us?

This Charity faces a challenging future with the loss of funding from DMBC,  Age UK at Merry Hill closing and CAB moving to Dudley.  However, we remain committed to providing information and activities to support the over 50s in this area.  If we cannot assist we can signpost you to an agency who can.

Age Concern Stourbridge & Halesowen is a registered charity that relies on donations and local fundraising events to be able to continue with its work.  It is governed by a Board of Trustees, and run by a Centre Manager and a team of volunteers.
